Generating the DxDiag Report:
- Open the Run Dialog:
- Press the
Windows + R
keys simultaneously on your keyboard to open the Run dialog.
- Type "dxdiag" and Run:
- In the Run dialog, type "dxdiag" (without the quotes) and press Enter or click OK.
- Wait for the Tool to Gather Information:
- The DirectX Diagnostic Tool will open and gather information about your system's hardware and drivers.
- Save All Information:
- Click the "Save All Information..." button (usually at the bottom right) to save the report.
- Choose Save Location:
- Select a location on your computer to save the DxDiag report.
- Name the File:
- Provide a name for the file. You can retain the default name (DxDiag.txt) or choose a descriptive name.
- Save as Text File:
- Ensure that the "Save as type" is set to "Text File (*.txt)".
- Save the Report:
- Click "Save" to save the DxDiag report to your chosen location.
Sharing via Pastebin:
- Visit Pastebin:
- Create or Sign In to an Account (Optional):
- If you have a Pastebin account, you can sign in. If not, you can still use Pastebin without an account.
- Paste the Report:
- Open the saved DxDiag.txt file using a text editor. Select all the text and copy it (Ctrl + A, then Ctrl + C).
- Go to the Pastebin website and click on the large text box on the homepage.
- Paste the copied DxDiag report into the text box (Ctrl + V).
- Set Expiration and Visibility (Optional):
- You can choose to set an expiration date for the paste and adjust its visibility (public, unlisted, private).
- Create Paste:
- Click the "Create New Paste" button. This will generate a link to the paste containing your DxDiag report.
- Copy the Paste Link:
- Once the paste is created, copy the URL from your browser's address bar. This is the link you'll share with us.
